New Binance General Counsel
Eleanor Hughes became the general counsel of the bitcoin exchange Binance. According to the company's press release.
Previously, she headed Binance's legal service in the APAC and MENA regions. Its main task was the management of lawyers, and, accordingly, regulatory issues. Before that, Hughes worked for more than 15 years at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, where she specialized in court cases and controversial issues.
In her new position, she will head a department of 85 people. Its tasks will be: issues of cooperation with FATF to maintain Binance's commitment to responsible industry development.
